REGISTERING FOR AN EVENT

The skill level of players is determined by the data in the players' Pickleball Brackets profile. The priority for determining a player's skill level is their Canadian Tournament Player Rating (CTPR). If that is lacking then their Pickleball Brackets profile tournament rating, and if that is lacking their Pickleball Brackets self-rating. When registering for a skill level, eg. 4.0 at least one of the players must be rated at the skill level of the event. Note: a 3.5 and a 4.0 player are eligible to play in 4.0. Two 3.5 players cannot play in 4.0.

All registrants MUST be a Pickleball Canada member in good standing to play in this tournament. Please ensure your Pickleball Canada Membership number and your skill level are up to date in your pickleballbrackets.com profile before registering for this tournament. If you are not a Pickleball Canada member, you can become a member at https://pickleballcanada.org/

Registration is online only at  Shake & Bake (pickleballbrackets.com)  Registration is not complete until BOTH partners have registered, agreed to the online waiver, and PAID in full. Online payment via PayPal or Stripe. Please note: PayPal or Stripe accepts credit card payments. When the maximum per event is reached based on fully registered/paid teams, others will be added to the waitlist.

Note: If the partner has not completed their registration within TWO days of the first partner registering, the team will be moved to the waitlist if there are fully-paid teams on the waitlist. When the identified partner registers after the three-day grace period, the team will move from the waitlist back to the active list ONLY if there is a slot available. In the case of waitlists, in doubles events – teams will take priority over individuals.

All players must complete their registration by July 1, 2023, at 9:00p.m., or they could potentially be placed on the Waitlist. Players may enter as a team or look under “Players Needing Partners” to find a partner.

COMPLETE means, the waiver is signed, the registration is paid in full and your partner needs to be registered, the waiver signed and paid in full as well.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to place players in the Skill Group based on their current UTPR/USAPA/PCO rating skill groups based on registration. The Tournament Committee has the right to make changes to the tournament, combine divisions, or change and alter the format depending on the number of registrations received.

In your PLAYER PROFILE check "Receive in game text messages". Cell Carrier should be selected. This is how you will receive your game notifications and court assignments

REFEREES

Our referee team will be working to obtain as many referees as possible. All medal matches are guaranteed to have a referee. Other matches will be subject to availability of the referee.

REFUND POLICY

Registration & event fees minus a $15 administration fee, will be refunded for withdrawals before July 1, 2023, 9:00pm. NO REFUNDS for any withdrawals/cancellations after July 1, 2023, 9:01pm.

This is an outdoor tournament. If there is inclement weather, all will be done to play matches, but there will be NO refunds or credits due to inclement weather. Cancellation is a possibility due to inclement weather, health concerns (COVID) or other unforeseen circumstances during the tournament. If this occurs, the tournament director and organizing committee reserve the right to revise event formats.
